Stacked shipping-container loft buildings with balconies and palm trees at Ashley Lofts in Downtown Jacksonville

412 East Ashley Street · Downtown Jacksonville

Your own place in the middle of downtown.

Walk to the game, the show, and the river, then come home to a private studio with a granite kitchen, your own washer and dryer, and a gated courtyard. Small on purpose, so more of what you earn goes to living.

Not another apartment block

You will not mistake it for anywhere else

Ashley Lofts is a small community of steel shipping containers, stacked three high around a palm courtyard and wrapped on one side in a block-long mural. It is one of the most recognizable addresses in Downtown Jacksonville.

Inside, the industrial shell gives way to a finished home: granite, dark wood cabinets, warm plank flooring, and big windows at both ends.

Why it works

A small home that carries its weight

Everything is in the unit

Full-size washer and dryer, refrigerator, microwave, granite counters, and a tiled walk-in shower. No laundry room runs, no shared machines.

Downtown without the tower

A gated courtyard, a handful of neighbors, and a front door you walk up to. The city is right outside the fence when you want it.

Less space to pay for

A studio sized for one person who would rather spend on the city than on square footage they do not use.

Inside the container

Finished like a home, not a novelty

The kitchen runs along one wall with granite counters, a deep stainless sink, and the washer and dryer built in under the counter. A separate sleeping area sits at the far end, with a ceiling fan and a wide window.

Homes come with a refrigerator and microwave. There is no oven, so plan on countertop cooking.
